All is well; just needing a break

Yes, I know. It’s been a while since you last heard from me. Eighty-two days, to be exact.

Sorry about that.

Fact is, I’m just not feeling the blogging thing right now.

It seems as though my creative endeavors have always had an ebb and flow to them and right now, blogging is ebbing while other interests are flowing.

Rather than feel guilty over this state of affairs, or try and force the issue with some crappy writing, I decided it was time for a break.

How long this break will be, I’ve no idea. But I felt I owed you an explanation, especially those of you who so faithfully stayed with FoF through thick and thin, with bad jokes and amateurish illustrations thrown into the mix. Thanks for hanging in there.

Especially you. My favorite out of the whole bunch. (You know who you are.) I’ll miss you the most.

Until we meet again, goodbye my friends. ❤️

  1. I hope you’re enjoying your other creative endeavors, my online friend. I follow so few blogs so I’ve missed yours.

I’m hoping you’ll occasionally say hey so we know you’re still alive and kicking.

    1. Thanks for the kind words, Mary. I’m fairly certain this isn’t a permanent goodbye. The blogging bug will likely bite me again before you know it. 😊

  2. I’ve heard this from a friend of mine who has drifted a bit from the blogging straight and narrow. I suspect it is somehow connected with the prospect of finally being able to do somethings out in public without an immediate fear of contagion leaping on us in a dark alley. It is hard to blog while the sun shines. Go, enjoy the good weather. The internet will still be here when the leaves start to fall again.

    1. Ah, you caught me — the weather has definitely played a big role in this. I know some bloggers who regularly take the summer off. Maybe I’ll wind up joining them!

  3. Aww, shucks…it was so nice of you to single me out there near the end.😁

Enjoy whatever is rowing your boat right now. Hope you return to the blogging shore someday. I’ll be here waiting for you.🤗

  4. I can sorta relate, my output isn’t exactly overflowing these days. If you ain’t feeling it, it ain’t gonna happen.

Of course, this doesn’t stop you from reading from time to time. 😉

  5. Good luck in all the new, cool stuff. Wow, am I ever going to miss you, but as Rick said to Ilsa at the airport, “We’ll always have Bad joke Monday.”

    1. Aw, you know how to make a gal blush.
Listen, I’m no good at being noble, but it doesn’t take much to see that the problems of two little bloggers don’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Here’s looking at you, WD.

  6. Gosh it is good to hear from you again! I’d been wondering about you. I’m still on a break myself but feeling the itch to get back into it lately. I hope you are not done with blogging for good. I’ve missed you and your voice 🙂
